Mark Consuelos Has Cheeky Reaction to Having Wardrobe Malfunction on Live TV
Mark Consuelos had a minor wardrobe mishap while cohosting with wife, Kelly Ripa, during the latest episode of Live With Kelly and Mark.
Sometimes, it takes a mere second to spot a wardrobe malfunction on live TV.
But for Mark Consuelos, his recent on-air clothing mishap lasted for well over 10 minutes. In a March 12 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, the host noticed his zipper was down during the show’s opening segment.
As Mark, 53, and wife Kelly Ripa introduced their signature Stump Mark contest—a trivia game where contestants can win prizes with his face on it—the Riverdale alum exclaimed, “My zipper’s down!” Viewers didn’t see Mark’s initial reaction to the slip-up since the segment’s graphic was onscreen, but when the cameras panned back to the couple, Kelly looked at Mark’s lap in shock.
“Did anybody notice that?” the 54-year-old—who shares kids Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 22 with her husband—asked the audience. Mark quickly nodded his head and replied, “No! My fly was down the whole time.”
However, it seems the duo—who’ve been cohosting together since Ryan Seacrest left the talk show in 2023—weren’t the only ones who didn’t notice Mark’s open zipper. Towards the end of the episode, they read a few comments from their viewers, and some shared that they noticed the malfunction several minutes before he did.
This wasn’t the only time the cohosts suffered a minor malfunction on air, as the back of Kelly’s dress slightly ripped during the show’s episode in April 2023. At the time, the duo were flaunting their tango skills alongside dancing couple Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson, and Mark dipped his wife a little too quickly.
“Did the entire back of my dress rip open?” Kelly humorously asked as she stood up, her hand faintly grabbing the outfit’s frilly material. “OK, fine. It’s just a breakaway dress.”
