Find Out Where Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Will Film Live Before They Premiere Their Brand-New Set
The couple bid farewell to the Upper West Side studio where they show has been filmed for 37 years last month
Live is going to look a little bit different for the next couple days.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos bid farewell to the Upper West Side studio that has been home to the daily show for 37 years on April 1, and they’ll be filming in a surprising location for a couple days before settling into their new studio.
A rep for ABC confirmed to PEOPLE that, starting Monday, April 7, “Kelly, Mark, Gelman, Deja and the whole Live crew will showcase the inside of Disney’s gorgeous, brand-new downtown headquarters as they present the show from the sprawling 10th floor in front of a live audience.”
Ripa and Consuelos will host the show from the temporary space until Monday, April 14, when they’ll debut their “fresh, new, state-of-the-art studio home” in the streamer’s new headquarters.
Though they won’t be in their new studio yet, they’ll be welcoming a list of guests, including Elisabeth Moss, Jay Shetty, Bradley Whitford, Walton Goggins, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yvonne Strahovski, Matthew Rhys, Chrissy Metz, Bryce Dallas Howard and Hailee Steinfeld.

Leaving Live‘s studio was an emotional day for the couple, who told PEOPLE that they “owe a lot to this place” given their extensive family history there.
“Our kids grew up here,” Consuelos said of Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 22. “They’d come visit mom here a lot — they were always backstage, even when they were babies.”
“They came to work with me every day until they went to school,” Ripa said. “They would go to All My Children with me, they would come here with me… we meant when we say they grew up in this building, in these four walls.”

The studio also held a special memory from their early days as a couple. During a brief split in 1996, a joint appearance on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee brought Ripa and Consuelos back together.
“We had to be here,” Consuelos recalled. “And we both tried to get out of it, but we both ended up being here on this stage.”
“Obviously, seeing her it was like, ‘This is the worst decision of my life. I have to be with her forever.’ And I asked her to marry me and we flew to Vegas the next day.”
