‘Live’ Fans Are Sobbing After Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Share Sad Video
As Live With Kelly and Mark embarks on a new era, fans can’t help but get emotional about the road taken to get here.
On April 1, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos said goodbye to the iconic Live studio in the ABC building on the Upper West Side of New York City. The hit morning show had been taped there for 37 years, ever since Live with Regis and Kathie Lee first debuted back in 1988. While Live is moving downtown to a new studio at 7 Hudson Square in Manhattan, the series had to share a heartfelt tribute to all the memories made over the last four decades.
Sharing a seven-minute montage on TikTok the same day, folks got to see various co-hosts embrace life on daytime television. From seeing the late Regis Philbin to embracing hilarity with Ryan Seacrest, Live’s social team assured viewers that more fun times would be held when the show begins to film in a brand-new studio.
Upon seeing this heartfelt dedication to the longstanding legacy of Live, fans couldn’t help but start bawling from all the nostalgia.
“Thank you for sharing this lots of memories,” one person wrote in the comments. “I’m sobbing 😭,” another penned. “Thank you for making me cry this morning!” a different follower added.
Well, this is quite a TV send-off if we ever saw one! And even though we are anticipating more joy from the 7 Hudson Square studio, folks will have to wait just a little longer to see it on Live. According to a report from Page Six, the studio isn’t fully ready — so Kelly and Mark are hosting the show from none other than the cafeteria of their new building.
“It’s amazing!” the insider told the outlet. “They’re just putting the final touches on the studio, but everyone is thrilled to be in this new Disney building.”
Well, we’re seriously looking forward to the next chapter of Live!
