“Oh my god, we talk about that all the time!” Kelly revealed in a clip posted on Instagram on April 22. “We would die. We would literally die … track her down, un-elope her and them make them do it the way that … yeah.”

“They’d track my iPhone … bring me back. ‘You’re un-eloping!'” Lola agreed.

But that’s not all Kelly had to say about her marriage. As she’s mentioned many times in the past, she also explained why it made sense for her and Mark to tie the knot in such a bold way.

“Mark said, ‘We have off from work tomorrow — let’s fly to Vegas and elope,'” she added, referencing the two meeting on the set of All My Children in the 1990s. “We never had a day off of work, so it just seemed like the sensible thing to do.”

Now, fans may remember Kelly and Mark wed in May 1996 after they played love interests Haley and Mateo on All My Children. After getting married, they welcomed Lola and her two brothers — older sibling Michael and younger sibling Joaquin. And while they’ve now been married for almost three decades, the two decided in February 2024 to go back to the place where their union began.

“Do you remember how you were feeling on our wedding day?” Kelly asked Mark as they stood in the Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas for a Live segment at the time.

“Some of those feelings came back as I drove up,” he replied. “I started getting sweaty … In a city where people roll the dice every day here, this is one of probably the safest bets I made.”
