Will Trent has only one more episode left to stream for its third season, and as per director Christensen, fans need to be worried. The ABC police procedural featured the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Atlanta Police Department coming together to track down a bioterrorist group in Episode 17 of Season 3, directed by Christensen. Talking about Episode 18, the upcoming finale, and if fans should be worried, Christensen explained:

“They should be very worried. We uncover through the finale how easily communicable and how fast-acting this bioweapon is. Everyone’s in danger , especially if they’re in the hospital, stuck with all these people who’ve already been infected, so they’re all at great risk.”

None of the main cast members have died in the past seasons, unlike other ABC shows (yes, Grey’s Anatomy and now 9-1-1 ), but maybe this season might alter that fact, owing to the lethal bioterrorist weapon that the main characters are trapped in the hospital with.

The penultimate episode of Season 3 featured ‘ a crescendo of chaos, ‘ as described by director Erika, with the hospital now under lockdown and Nico, Ormewood, Seth, and Betty all trapped inside it. They’re stuck with all the people who’ve already been affected by the deadly bioweapon, which is extremely communicable and fast-acting, putting all of their lives in grave danger.

Michael Ormewood, played by Jake McLaughlin, and Nico (Cora Lu Tran) brought the homeless veteran, who was most likely patient zero, to the hospital, bringing him directly into contact with the disease’s carrier, putting him at extreme risk. The fact that Ormewood also has a brain tumor he just found out about means the future is not looking very bright for all the Will Trent stars in the finale, whose official synopsis reads:

“Unleashed by a domestic terrorist group, a mysterious biological attack runs rampant in Atlanta; Will is forced to confront the complex dynamics of his own family.”

The Season 3 finale is definitely going to be an on-the-edge-of-your-seat kind of episode for the Will Trent fans.
