Will Trent

Will Trent Doesn’t Need Sara Because His True Soul Mate Is Already In The ABC Series (It Isn’t Angie)

Will’s love life in Will Trent has been a topic of interest since the first episode, but while he has been searching for his soulmate, it turns out they have been by his side all along. The ABC police procedural series has largely focused on the on-and-off relationship between Will and Angie (and for good reason). However, Angie is not Will’s soulmate.

Soulmates don’t have to be romantic. They could be completely platonic, originating from a friendship, a family bond, a work partner, etc. So, when discussing Will’s “other half,” we have to consider everyone in his life, from his co-workers to his friends and family. And there is one Will Trent main character who has been there for Will through thick and thin since the beginning.

Betty Is Will Trent’s Best Relationship In The ABC Show

Betty Has Been The Most Constant Presence In Will’s Life

While Will has special bonds with many of the characters in Will Trent, it’s safe to say that his strongest connection is with his pet chihuahua, Betty. He adopted her during the pilot episode, and they have been thick as thieves ever since. Where Will goes, Betty goes, too (unless it’s a crime scene or somewhere dangerous, of course).

Even when Will ran off to a small town in Tennessee at the end of Will Trent season 2, he took Betty with him. As a result, she has been the most constant presence in Will’s life. If Will’s in a fight with Angie or he’s had a rough day at work, Betty is there for him. It’s easy to see how Betty could be Will’s soulmate, while Angie isn’t.

This doesn’t mean that Will and Angie don’t care about each other; it just indicates that they shouldn’t be in a relationship.

Will Trent in Will Trent season 3, episode 18

Will and Angie’s romance in Will Trent has been fraught with toxicity and uncertainty. One moment they’re happily in love and planning for their future, and the next minute they’re arguing and bringing out the worst in each other. This doesn’t mean that Will and Angie don’t care about each other; it just indicates that they shouldn’t be in a relationship.

Will’s Dynamic With Betty Allows Sara’s Introduction To Be Delayed

There Is No Rush For Sara To Enter The Picture

Although I’m sure many fans are eager for the day that Sara Linton walks into Will’s life, her introduction doesn’t need to be rushed. Sara is one of Will’s love interests in the Will Trent books, which is why many are clamoring for her arrival. However, thanks to Betty’s presence and Will’s current well-being in the show, there isn’t any urgent need for Sara to enter the picture anytime soon.
