Will Trent Doesn’t Need Sara Because His True Soul Mate Is Already In The ABC Series (It Isn’t Angie)
Soulmates don’t have to be romantic. They could be completely platonic, originating from a friendship, a family bond, a work partner, etc. So, when discussing Will’s “other half,” we have to consider everyone in his life, from his co-workers to his friends and family. And there is one Will Trent main character who has been there for Will through thick and thin since the beginning.
Betty Is Will Trent’s Best Relationship In The ABC Show
Betty Has Been The Most Constant Presence In Will’s Life
While Will has special bonds with many of the characters in Will Trent, it’s safe to say that his strongest connection is with his pet chihuahua, Betty. He adopted her during the pilot episode, and they have been thick as thieves ever since. Where Will goes, Betty goes, too (unless it’s a crime scene or somewhere dangerous, of course).
Even when Will ran off to a small town in Tennessee at the end of Will Trent season 2, he took Betty with him. As a result, she has been the most constant presence in Will’s life. If Will’s in a fight with Angie or he’s had a rough day at work, Betty is there for him. It’s easy to see how Betty could be Will’s soulmate, while Angie isn’t.
Will and Angie’s romance in Will Trent has been fraught with toxicity and uncertainty. One moment they’re happily in love and planning for their future, and the next minute they’re arguing and bringing out the worst in each other. This doesn’t mean that Will and Angie don’t care about each other; it just indicates that they shouldn’t be in a relationship.
Will’s Dynamic With Betty Allows Sara’s Introduction To Be Delayed
There Is No Rush For Sara To Enter The Picture
Although I’m sure many fans are eager for the day that Sara Linton walks into Will’s life, her introduction doesn’t need to be rushed. Sara is one of Will’s love interests in the Will Trent books, which is why many are clamoring for her arrival. However, thanks to Betty’s presence and Will’s current well-being in the show, there isn’t any urgent need for Sara to enter the picture anytime soon.
So, Will isn’t ready for a long-term relationship in Will Trent season 4. After his falling out with Angie and his breakup with Marion, Will shouldn’t be settling down with anyone. He should be attending therapy and working through his trauma. Only then can Will be prepared for romantic love. In the meantime, it’s a good thing he has Betty by his side.
When Sara Might Be Introduced In Will Trent?
Sara Could Appear In Will Trent Season 4
Even though Will very likely isn’t ready for Sara, his true love interest could still appear in Will Trent season 4. Perhaps she won’t join the cast at the beginning of the season. However, as time goes on and Will starts to heal, the writers could decide it’s time to introduce Sara. Bringing Sara into the fold is still a big step for Will Trent.
She is a major character in the books, and if the show follows suit, Sara could become the most important person in Will’s life. Consequently, it might be best if the ABC series didn’t introduce Sara until it’s running out of steam. Or Will Trent could bring in Sara when the show is still going strong. Either way, Will’s story will never be the same with Sara in the picture.
