‘Will Trent’ Season 4 Cast Shakeup: 2 Stars Possibly Exiting, Several Seemingly Returning
Will Trent was renewed for a fourth season a few months ago, and ABC has been airing reruns of season three while fans wait patiently for the season 4 premiere.
Well, it looks like the new season won’t debut until midseason on ABC – likely in early 2026. So now, we’ve gathered everything we know about the cast, including who’s possibly exiting the series.
Ramón Rodríguez as Wilbur “Will” Trent – Obviously Returning!
Ramon Rodriguez will obviously be back for season four!
Erika Christensen as Angela Polaski – Seemingly Returning!
Erika Christensen is seemingly going to be back for season four!
Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner – Seemingly Returning!
Sonja Sohn will likely be back for the show’s fourth season.
Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell – Seemingly Returning!
Iantha Richardson will likely be back.
Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood – Seemingly Returning!
Jake McLaughlin will be presumably be back for the new episodes.
Bluebell as Betty – Presumably Returning!
Bluebell will presumably return as Betty!
Yul Vazquez as Sheriff Caleb – Could Be Back!
Yul Vazquez joined the cast late in season three, and there’s potential for him to return in season four.
The actor was introduced as Sheriff Caleb, “a rugged, handsome, fiercely stubborn hometown hero” who “uses his self-appointed status as a constitutional sheriff to protect his community and has little patience for outside interference.”
TV Line reported that Yul could also return for more episodes in season four. Stay tuned!
Gina Rodriguez as Marion Alba, Assistant District Attorney – Could Be Exiting!
Gina Rodriguez joined the show in season three, but her status is up-in-the-air.
The Jane the Virgin star portrayed new ADA named Marion Alba.
If you don’t know, she ended up forming a romantic attachment to Will. They eventually went on a date, but ended up deciding to not continue the relationship by the 12th episode of season three.
The co-showrunner of Will Trent, Liz Heldens, told TV Line during season three that Gina’s character wouldn’t be back for the rest of the season.
She said, “Marion is not going to resurface before seasons’ end. It’s funny… when we started [Season 3], we were like, ‘Oh, 18 episodes is the biggest order we’ve ever done!’ And then when we got to the end, we were like, ‘We don’t have enough runway for everybody.’”
Liz then said she’s not confirmed for season four either, stating, “It was an amazing experience to work with her, and I wouldn’t rule out her coming back in Season 4 at all.”
Antwayn Hopper as Rafael Wexford – Could Be Exiting!
It’s unclear if Antwayn Hopper will be back as Rafael Wexford after his character’s storyline was seemingly wrapped up.
After getting arrested by Will, Rafael actually strikes a deal with the FBI and is relocated elsewhere with his daughter.
