Will Trent Season 4 Reviving Will & Angie’s Romance Rather
Fans can expect ABC to release Will Trent season 4 in early 2026, as the network is holding the show for midseason (per TVLine).
Despite Will and Angie’s status after the Will Trent season 3 finale, it wouldn’t be surprising if the writers tried to revive their romance again. They have history and always seem to find their way back to one another, even if they shouldn’t. Will and Angie deserve a chance to move on, though. So, season 4 should explore a different love story.
Will & Angie’s Relationship Gets Too Much Attention In Will Trent
It’s Time For The Show To Move On To Other Romances
During the first couple of seasons of Will Trent, it made sense why Will and Angie’s relationship was at the story’s center. Their dynamic was quite complex and compelling, after all. However, their on-and-off routine grew old fast, and it was frustrating watching them constantly go back to one another. Will Trent just paid too much attention to Will and Angie.
Will Trent Should Explore Faith’s Love Life In Season 4
Season 3 Teased A New Love Interest For Faith
Will and Angie’s love often overshadowed other potential romances, and it’s time for that to change in Will Trent season 4. The good news is that season 3 has already provided the series with its best Will and Angie replacement — Faith and Elijah. As some may recall, Faith met Elijah in season 3, episode 10, at her and Will’s victim’s dance academy.
Thoroughly exploring the connection between Faith and Elijah allows Will Trent to stop Will and Angie’s repetitive relationship.
Will Trent hasn’t given Faith a solid love interest (Luke doesn’t really count because their relationship was never truly serious). Now is the time to correct that misstep, though. Given how much chemistry Faith and Elijah shared and the fact that they technically went on a date, the ABC crime drama should continue their relationship in season 4.
