Jared Padalecki Arrives to Stoke the Fire Inside Bode
Jared Padalecki wears a firefighter’s uniform well, as seen in the first batch of photos from his guest-starring arc on CBS’ Fire Country.
The Supernatural and Walker alum will debut as SoCal firefighter Camden Casey in the episode “Edgewater’s About to Get Real Cozy,” airing Friday, Nov. 15 at 9/8c, and in which Station 42 and Three Rock jump into action when an airplane makes an emergency landing outside of Edgewater.
Camden was previously described as a “maverick with a surfer swagger, who is a force to be reckoned with.”
“We launch Camden Casey in a really dynamic way,” Fire Country showrunner Tia Napolitano told TVLine ahead of Season 3. “He’s really going to flip the script in Edgewater.”
How so? “Everyone sort of treats Bode like this tiger they’re trying to tame,” Napolitano explains, “and Camden kind of says, ‘Why would you try to tame a tiger? Like, let him out!’ He leans into Bode’s dangerous side, his raw talent, his instincts, all of these things that we’ve sort of tried to keep in check for his own success. He kind of fans the flames of Bode’s instincts in a really fun way.”
Padalecki is set for a three-episode Fire Country arc that just might lead to a spinoff centered around Camden — akin to how Morena Baccarin’s Season 2 visit as Sharon’s sister Mickey paved the way for a Sheriff Country offshoot premiering during the 2025-26 TV season.
