Bode Tries Out a New Romance After Breaking Up with Gabriela in ‘Fire Country’ Sneak Peek
Fire Country Season 3 takes place in a less-than-ideal time for several characters romance-wise.
The only couple who seem to be going strong are Sharon and Vince, while everyone else is dealing with some personal crisis. In Fire Country Season 3, Episode 7, “False Alarm,” the station deals with a hostage situation according to the logline below. CBS also released some sneak peeks from the December 6 episode that finds an overarching theme in Bode, Eve, and Jake’s lives as they are all single for the first time in a long time. In another turn of events, Bode and Gabriela are no longer together, and so are Audrey and her boyfriend.
“Station 42 responds to a false alarm call that escalates into a dangerous hostage situation.”
Everyone Is Back on the Market in ‘Fire Country’ Season 3, Episode 7
When the video above begins, Jake and Bode are doing bodyweight workouts in the living room, and Eve is taking pictures. When Jake protests, Eve reveals that she is indeed taking pictures for their dating profiles since they are all single. Bode broke up with Gabriela, Eve and her ex-girlfriend’s reunion did not amount to anything substantial, and Jake’s girlfriend died. Jake refuses the good-faith efforts to get him under someone new. “Intervention time! Gentlemen, we gotta go outside. Because if you want to date people, we can’t keep hanging out with each other. It’s just math!” Eve says. The math doesn’t add up with there being three of them; Eve is gay, and the rest are straight men.
Jake’s excuse is that the only person he’s focused on is Gen, who arrives from Ohio on that day, and they have some activities planned. Bode’s breakup is fresh. The only thing on Bode’s mind is Camden’s list, which reveals the cadets who passed his training. The graduation day is set for the following day, and Bode is torn about whether to invite Gabriela because he doesn’t want to make things weird after the breakup.
In another scene, Bode catches up with Audrey, and it seems that they both have passed their training. However, it’s not a purely happy occasion for Audrey. Her boyfriend broke up with her when he learned she had passed training since he hoped she would fail and move with him. Bode listens with curious interest as Audrey recounts her ordeal, and even though he’s supposed to feel sad for her, his face doesn’t get the message. Is this the beginning of something new for them both?
