General Hospital Breaking Update! Carly is shocked, Brennan is the one who bombed Sonny’s apartment
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, January 13, reveals that Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) reunited with Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) and gave her mom updates on all the drama in Prague.
Lulu initially blamed Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) for blowing things, but she later admitted he was likely right about her leading the sniper to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Laura stressed the importance of being more careful and offered reassurance about finding Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) again.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) tried to give Cody Bell (Josh Bell) investment advice, but he seemed far too eager to turn Drew Quartermaine’s (Cameron Mathison) payoff into more so he could snatch up the Serenity property.
Meanwhile, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) joined Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) for her yoga class and was surprised to find that Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) was part of the group, too.
After class was over, Stella had a bonding session with Tracy while Trina talked to Kai about his football dilemma.
Kai had to decide whether he would finish college or bail early to join the NFL, but Trina was certain that he’d make the right decision for him.
At one point, Cody popped up and recognized Kai as PCU’s quarterback.
Although PCU’s team was an underdog in the upcoming bowl game, Kai insisted the game would be a lot closer than people thought and made a winning prediction.
Later, Cody found Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) at GH and wanted his help getting in touch with Selina Wu (Lydia Look) about gambling.
Once Cody explained why he wanted to bet on the PCU game, he negotiated a deal to give Brad a percentage of the winnings.
In the ICU, some nurses found Michael in distress, so Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) were paged. Once the docs came to Michael’s rescue, Isaiah guessed digitalis was to blame and made the quick decision to give him medication to counteract it.
That saved Michael’s life and basically confirmed Isaiah’s hunch, but the IV bags were also sent off to be analyzed.
Back with Brad, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) put him to work on a secret mission since she didn’t want the hospital’s legal team knowing about this just yet.
Brad was tasked with investigating digitalis-related deaths in recent months and helping to establish how long this pattern might’ve been going on.
Afterward, Isaiah spoke to Portia about suspecting Michael nearly went into cardiac arrest because of digitalis and giving him something to counteract it.
Portia brought up looking into the security footage, but Isaiah said nothing out of the ordinary had been found yet.
Isaiah felt it was time to get the police involved since someone was clearly targeting patients with fatal intentions.
Nearby, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) fumed over Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) using her role as Michael’s medical proxy as leverage to get the kids back.
However, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) pulled Sonny aside and convinced him that the children needed to be with Willow while Michael focused on healing with the help of his family.
Carly accused Drew of making it so Willow would have no one else to rely on once everyone else turned against her.
Nevertheless, Carly backed down once Sonny piped up about reaching an agreement, so Willow was relieved.
Sonny privately assured Carly that this was a temporary solution before Lucas appeared with news on Michael’s condition.
Lucas confessed that Michael almost went into cardiac arrest, but he assured Carly and Sonny that Michael was stable now.
General Hospital spoilers say Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will have trouble covering his tracks, so don’t miss the backlash headed his way.
