Heartbreaking Moment!!! Kelly Ripa Says She And Mark Hid Painful Death From Son
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have no problem discussing their home life and family on their morning talk show Live with Kelly & Mark. On one of this week’s episodes, the couple mentioned a pet their son Joaquin had that they had to hide its death from.
Here is what Kelly and Mark said they did and how they kept Joaquin from knowing that his beloved pet had died.
Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos Hid Death From Son
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos talked about their son Joaquin and a pet he had when he was younger. They were talking on the show about a “megalodon goldfish” that was unearthed in Pennsylvania earlier this week in a waterway. The goldfish became huge, and according to the USFWS, this could create a major invasive problem that can mess up the ecosystem for decades.
That is when Mark said they have had a couple of goldfish in their family before. Kelly then segued into a conversation about their home life. She said, “Our son, who shall remain nameless—Joaquin—had a thing that every time he went to the fair, the first thing he would do was win a goldfish. It never failed.”
“Well, let me tell you about those carnival goldfish,” Kelly continued. She joked that nothing could kill a carnival goldfish and that scientists should study them when making human medicine. She said Joaquin won so many goldfish that they brought them into the family.
However, Mark said there were times when a goldfish would die, and they would have to “swap them out while he was at school.” After this, Kelly said, “A couple of times they passed away, and then we would replace them with similar fish. I don’t think he ever knew.”
Mark then joked, “He knows now.” However, Kelly assured her husband that their son “doesn’t watch this show.” This has to be good news because this couple has no problem talking about anything and everything that has to do with their family.
Mark Consuelos Has Other Admissions Concerning Their Kids
Mark Consuelos also told their fans that he has done something new since his kids have all moved out and gone out into the world. He said that they paid a lot for the rooms when they designed their townhouse. He said that with the kids gone, he uses their bathrooms now.
He joked that he had paid enough for them and wanted to use them now. While this seemed a little ridiculous for Kelly to hear Mark talking about, she did make an admission of her own. She likes that this means that the main bathroom is hers alone now, and she gets it all to herself.
