Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Gush Over Daughter Lola: “She’s a special girl”
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are spilling the tea when it comes to their children — but it’s about something you wouldn’t necessarily expect.
On the April 22 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, the co-hosts revealed a first look at Kelly and their daughter Lola Consuelos in People‘s 2025 World’s Most Beautiful issue. While the two gushed about how incredible the shoot went and how the photos came out, the conversation took a surprising turn about some of the qualities Kelly and Mark love to see in Lola. As it turns out, they have thoughts about which one of their three kids is the funniest — and it wasn’t their sons Michael or Joaquin.
“Here’s the thing about Lola,” Kelly shared in a clip posted on Live‘s official Instagram. “I always say this depending on which one of my kids I’m with, I’m like, ‘Oh, Michael’s the funniest kid.’ Or, ‘Joaquin is the funniest kid.’ But Lola actually, I believe, she is funny. She is another level of funny.”
But that’s not all the couple had to say about their only daughter. Kelly and Mark continued to praise her best qualities. “I always knew she was going to be exceptional,” Mark gushed. “She is a special girl,” Kelly agreed.
They also shared how they’re constantly impressed by Lola’s ability to engage with others. “She’s very skilled at being able to have a conversation at a cocktail party,” Mark added.
“She can have conversations with anyone, anywhere,” Kelly agreed. “It was just so nice to get to spend the entire afternoon with her.”
Now, folks have watched Lola grow up as Kelly has been co-hosting Live since 2001. Kelly couldn’t help but point this out when she shared photos from the People shoot on Instagram, adding a throwback picture of the two at another photoshoot from when Lola was a toddler.
“How it’s going vs how it started,” she captioned the series of photos. “Thanks @People for allowing Lola to bring her mom to work. @theyoungestyung.”
