Kelly Ripa Is Not Bothered By “Really Good Kisser” Mark Consuelos Filming Makeout Scenes With Other Women: “I’m Not That Person”
Kelly Ripa remains unbothered by Mark Consuelos‘ kissing scenes.
This reveal arrived when Maria Menounos joined the co-host couple on this morning’s Live with Kelly and Mark, where she dished on her new Lifetime Christmas movie Christmas at Plumhill Manor.
Consuelos chimed in, “I’m being asked to ask this question. I don’t really want to ask it, but I’m going to ask it. Are there a lot of kissing scenes in this movie?”
Menounos, who has previously starred in Lifetime’s The Holiday Fix-Up and The Holiday Dating Guide, noted that “usually” there is only one kissing scene in these films, but fans apparently “want more romance.”
“So they want three this time, and I go, ‘No, no, no, no, no, we’re not doing that,’” she explained.
Ripa asked Menounos if she “negotiate[s],” to which she insisted that she “tried.”
“I was reteaming with my director Brian Herzlinger from the last two Christmas movies I did, and I go, ‘Brian, we’re not doing three. I can’t do three. My dad’s going to kill me.’”
After confirming that her father “gets so mad,” Menounos teased that now she “mess[es] with him.”
“I’m like, ‘Dad, we’re making crazy sex scenes in this movie. It’s going to be wild!’” she added. “So when the kissing stuff happens, it’s like nothing. And then I have my husband on the other hand. He’s like, ‘Be professional!’”
Consuelos initially misconstrued Menounos’ remark, asking if her husband was telling her father to be professional.
Menounos clarified, “No, to me. When I have to, like, make out with people.’
She eventually asked Consuelos if he ever tells Ripa the same, which he denied.
“Whenever I have all the kissing scenes, she says, ‘Go for it!’” he shared.
Ripa agreed, “I’m not that person. It doesn’t bother me.”
After Menounos noted that she “do[es]n’t like it,” Ripa added, “I think Mark’s a really good kisser, but I think it looks good. Does that make sense? To me, like, watching it from an outside observer…”
Consuelos joked, “So I just kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss.”
Menounos teased, “Mark, enjoy it. It’s your pass.”
