Kelly Ripa Makes Playful Quip at Live Audience Member Who Interrupts Christopher Meloni

Kelly Ripa isn’t afraid to call out her audience members!

On the Thursday, April 17 broadcast of Live with Kelly and Mark, Ripa and her co-host husband, Mark Consuelos, welcomed guest Christopher Meloni onto the ABC morning show. While the Law and Order star shared details about a recent vacation, the trio was interrupted by an unexpected fourth.

“My wife [Sherman Williams] and I went down to the Dominican Republic,” Meloni, 64, recalled. “We were at this beautiful restaurant overlooking a jungle, without a light. There was no [light]. It’s not built up, no one’s there.”

Then, a viewer in the audience interjected, “Where was it?” to which he shouted, “I’m not telling you!”

The co-hosts were quick to take back the reins of the interview, with Ripa addressing the audience member with a smile, “We’ll handle the questions, ma’am!”

Meloni and his wife Williams share two children, Sophia and Dante, and have been married for 30 years. The pair first met in the 1980s on the set of a TV show they were both working on and went on to tie the knot in 1995.

This isn’t the first time Ripa and Consuelos have dealt with a rowdy crowd.

During a May 2024 episode, the duo were chatting about enjoying sunny weather in New York City. After Consuelos asked the show’s executive producer Michael Gelman if the weather was nice that weekend, an unidentified audience member shouted, “Not yesterday!”

“Not yesterday,” Ripa and Consuelos replied in unison before the former continued, “No, we know. We flew home yesterday.”

“We have some talkers today,” Consuelos joked.

When Ripa chirped that the show was “participatory,” he jokingly added, “Somewhat.”
