‘Live With Kelly And Mark’ crew member suffers serious accident while working on the show.

Live with Kelly and Mark, which recently saw a new move in studios, is often a fun time, especially for viewers at home. However, things can always go wrong. Recently, inside sources have shared a story concerning a crew member recently getting injured while working on the show.

Fans Saw Live With Kelly And Mark In A New Location

Live with Kelly and Mark has been around in some form since 1983. The talk show has been a variety of hosts over the years, from Regis Philbin to Ryan Seacrest. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, the most recent co-hosts, joined the series in 2001 and 2023, respectively.

Recently, fans were introduced to a new home for the show after production switched to a new SoHo studio. Beforehand, fans had seen the show filmed in the Upper West Side in New York.

According to Radar Online, however, the series recently faced a disaster on set. a longtime crew member was hurt during production and was sent to a Manhattan hospital.

An inside source claimed, “They’re lucky it wasn’t worse. There was panic. People were screaming. It was total chaos.”

Reportedly, a heavy piece of equipment had malfunctioned. It then fell down where staff members were working. One crew member, who has not been named, was struck and injured. Production halted as emergency personnel came to the set. The injured staff member was then taken to a hospital.

According to the source, the injury was very serious. As they claimed, the staff member was “likely inches from being killed.”

The incident allegedly caused a one-week delay of the show’s recent unveiling of the new studio. The publication also noted that production switched to a backup location as construction had to be finished.

The Source Shared How Some Of The Crew Members Felt About The Move

A source also described what it had been like for the people on set, including Kelly Ripa herself. As they claimed, “Kelly didn’t want to go live from a construction zone. But they forced the move anyway. And now look what happened.” Sources also claimed she and husband Mark Consuelos were “shaken” by the incident.

The incident also naturally took its toll on the other crew members. One staffer was quoted as saying, “This move felt cursed from day one. Tech is glitching, people are missing cues, and the energy is off. It’s disastrous.”

Admittedly, as previously reported back in March, Ripa had previously shared some doubts over the news. On the show, she had claimed, “You and I went down to tour the new studios because apparently our show is finally moving to a new location. But that’s not going to happen for some time, and I don’t believe it’s going to happen.”

Another insider was also quoted, saying, “The set has bad vibes. Someone even joked we need a priest more than a producer.”

This also comes out as pressure was already on the staff amid the new move in production. As the source shared, “This could have been a tragedy. They’re all counting their blessings today.”
