After over 20 years as a TV host, is there anything Kelly Ripa regrets? As it turns out, there is one thing the television personality would do differently — and she’s spilling the tea as she embarks on a new era in her career.

As Kelly and her husband (and co-host) Mark Consuelos bring Live With Kelly and Mark to a brand-new studio in downtown New York City, the couple caught up with People to talk about the highs and lows of their time on the air. When asked if there were some things she regretted from all her yearson daytime TV, Kelly got candid about something fans likely wouldn’t expect.
As she revealed to the outlet, she’s had some thoughts about the various hairstyles she’s worn on Live. And much to everyone’s surprise — Kelly hasn’t been too fond of any of the looks she’s had on live television.
“[I regret] all of them. Every single haircut,” she told the outlet on April 2. “All of my haircuts traumatized me.”
Now, we don’t see what she’s talking about, because we think Kelly looks great all the time! But the All My Children alum has a defense for why she feels this way — and it comes from things becoming a blur with so many years of Live under her belt.
“It’s interesting — when you’re on a show, you don’t watch it, so you don’t know. You almost have amnesia,” she explained. “You do the show and you move on to the next day … so I have almost no recollection.”
Well, this makes a lot of sense! After all, she’s been officially co-hosting Live since she debuted on the show back in 2001. And with the change of co-hosts over the years—her last cast mate before Mark joined Live was Ryan Seacrest from 2017 to 2024, and she also co-hosted alongside Regis Philbin from 2001 to 2011 and GMA star Michael Strahan from 2012 to 2016—it’s easy to see how she may not have remembered the way her hair was styled every single time she was on the air.
As Kelly settles into a new studio, maybe she’ll choose to do something different with her on-air look. We’ll just have to keep tuning in to find out!
