Port Charles just delivered its most explosive week in ages! From surprise returns to jaw-dropping confessions, secrets are unraveling and alliances are shifting.
General Hospital has been frustrating to watch for a while now. We love our friends from Port Charles, but the show has been filled with unfinished stories, missing characters, and overly drawn-out storylines. Until last week, when everything hit the fan.
Daddy’s Home
The best part of the week had to be the last five minutes of Friday’s episode. Just as the adorable children of Port Charles were wrapping up their version of The Jackson 5’s “I’ll Be There,” Wiley (Viron Weaver) spotted his dad in the back of the audience. Michael, now played by Rory Gibson, is back, and all is right with the world. He scooped up his son and took him home, aka Grandma Carly’s (Laura Wright) house, where his sister is most likely waiting for him.
The look on everyone’s face was total shock. It appears that no one was expecting his arrival, although it is assumed that Jason (Steve Burton) was in on it. Michael’s custody battle with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is about to heat up, and we are here for it.
Lyin’ Eyes
More drama at the Nurse’s Ball! Curtis (Donnell Turner) should have a no-lying clause in his marriage contracts because he will not stand for it. He let Portia (Brook Kerr) off the hook for lying about Trina’s paternity her whole life, but that may have been her last chance.
She was honest with her husband about changing Heather’s (ex-Alley Mills) test results, and he was super supportive. If she had told Curtis that first Brad (ex-Parry Shen), and then Drew (Cameron Mathison) were blackmailing her, he would have helped her, but she lied. It was a long time coming, but he finally figured it out and confronted his wife at the Nurse’s Ball. What will happen next is anyone’s guess.
Attempted Murder
Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) never made it to the ball. Did Kristina really think that no one would figure out that she was the one who cut Ric’s (Rick Hearst) brakes? Did she believe that her mom thought about having her committed for no reason at all?
Alexis finally let the cat out of the bag. She knows her daughter tried to kill Ava (Maura West), and she has been paying off Ric and Ava so they keep quiet with money she is embezzling from the Cassadine estate. Mom and daughter are in a pickle because now they will both go to prison if they are caught. Maybe committing Kristina was a good idea after all. No matter what, it was time Alexis told Kristina the truth. And no, her father should not “fix” the problem.
We have been waiting for all three of these stories to finally explode. Last week was crazy in Port Charles, and we cannot wait to see what happens next. Great job GH! Which storyline are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments section.
