Todd Chrisley ‘jumping for joy’ at Donald Trump victory as Savannah ‘gloats’ that her parents will be set free
Todd Chrisley is rejoicing in the wake of Donald Trump’s victory as he believes the Republican President-elect could release him and wife Julie from prison.
The reality TV couple were sentenced to a combined 19 years behind bars after being convicted by a federal grand jury of bank fraud, wire fraud and tax evasion in 2022.
Their daughter Savannah, 27, has fought tirelessly for reduced sentences and even took her efforts to the Republican National Convention in July in a reported bid to garner sympathy from Trump with the ‘end goal’ of getting him to free her incarcerated parents.
The former pageant queen, who starred on the family reality show Chrisley Knows Best, has been ‘gloating’ since Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday night, with her father, 55, convinced he may not have to serve his full sentence.
‘Todd is jumping for joy in prison and is so optimistic that he will be able to walk out of there when Trump takes office,’ a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘Savannah truly believes that Trump will pardon her parents.

Savannah, 28, who supported Trump by speaking at the RNC in July, celebrated his win on Instagram with a series of videos in which she claimed: ‘Y’all we did it’ (pictured)
‘Ever since they were convicted she has spent every waking hour campaigning to free them and when she found the loophole through the RNC she jumped on it.
‘She took that stage in the hope of seeing her parents walk out of jail and it will likely happen. So of course she is gloating. Everyone is just hoping that she stops going on.’

Users were quick to accuse her of endorsing Trump in a desperate bid to free her incarcerated parents – an accusation that was first made following her RNC speech in July.
‘You came from felons, so it only makes sense you would vote for one.. is it expected that if he wins, he pardon your felon parents,’ wrote one user on Savannah’s election day post.
Another posted: ‘She just wants trump to pardon mom and dad. Good Christian?? Supporting an adulterous felon?’
A third agreed, writing: ‘My guess you’re hoping Trump will pardon your parents.’

Todd and Julie, 51, were found guilty in July 2022 of conspiring to defraud community banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans.
They were also found guilty of tax evasion by hiding their earnings while showcasing an extravagant lifestyle, with both heading off to prison in January 2023.
They had their sentences reduced in September 2023, with Julie given five and a half years in Federal Medical Center Lexington, while Todd received 10 years in a federal prison in Pensacola.
In September, Julie’s appeal for a shorter prison sentence was denied after a judge declared she will continue to serve seven years for bank fraud and tax evasion.
An insider close to the family revealed at the time that her resentencing devastated Savannah, who was so confident that her mom would be freed that she had planned a party.
The source added that some family members fear Savannah has put her parents’ case at risk by ‘nonstop talking’ about it.
Savannah has been vocal about the abhorrent conditions her parents have allegedly faced behind bars.

In July, she claimed the heat at FMC (Federal Medical Center) in Lexington, Kentucky, had caused her mother to become ‘physically ill.’
‘In the visitation room, thank goodness, there’s air conditioning,’ Savannah claimed.
‘But outside the visitation room, there is zero air conditioning… She literally said that she got physically sick because she got so hot.
‘So, you have these women who are suffering from heat exhaustion and they’re passing out… It is so beyond inhumane that you cannot make it up. And it’s tough.’
Speaking at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she blasted the prosecution and conviction of her parents, who she claims were ‘persecuted’ due to their ‘public profile and conservative beliefs.’

She compared their alleged unfair treatment to that of Trump during his highly publicized hush money trial with porn star Stormy Daniels – something insiders claim was a calculated move to garner sympathy from the former President with the ‘end goal’ of getting him to release her parents.
Following Savannah’s speech, a source told DailyMail.com: ‘Savannah knew exactly what she was doing. She has realized that there is nothing she can do anymore to get Todd out of prison and she is desperate.
‘This is a last-ditch effort for her. Savannah pulled some serious strings to get on that stage.’
Savannah ended her speech by claiming Trump’s only conviction is to ‘make America great again.’
‘Donald J. Trump has only one conviction that matters and that is the conviction to make America great again,’ she said.
